Ahoy, sailors! We are excited to unveil the next wave of fixes and improvements to enhance your maritime experience. Please see below for a detailed look at what's included in this patch. In addition, we'd like to address the GPU-related crashes you've reported. To better understand and solve these crashes, we've made adjustments to our crash reporting system to gather more information. We've added an option to play Ships At Sea with GPU crash debugging. We'd like to ask for your help in investigating this by selecting Play SAS (with GPU Crash Debug), if you are experiencing frequent crashes on computers above the minimum requirements for running Ships At Sea. You can use it by plotting a route on the map, and then turning on the autopilot in the cabin. Your boat will then automatically follow the plotted route. You can manually adjust the throttle to maintain a good cruising speed and fuel economy.
Savegames
We are currently addressing the reported savegame issues. This is a complex task and will take some time to resolve in order to prevent any impact on your current savegames. Please note that your inventory will be reset in this update due to our inventory improvements and skill tree options. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Keep in mind that you can't save the game while you are in the shipyard. We suggest that you save your game when you are docked in a port and have finished your cargo missions to avoid any issues when you load your savegame. We aim to roll out a fix for this and the net fishing by the end of next week! We have also added an auto-save option.
Roadmap
We plan to continue with weekly updates for the time being, rather than our recent daily updates, to ensure more robust updates and improvements. We look forward to sharing our upcoming roadmap, which will outline our plans and provide a sneak peek into what's next in our game, Ships At Sea, very soon!
