While next-gen offers a slew of improvements on new games like Spider Man: Miles Morale, old titles are also getting performance-enhancing boosts. One of those games is Rocket League, meaning you'll finally be able to flip reset in beautiful 4K resolution.

In a new post on the official Rocket League website, Psyonix says it is planning to release two new updates which will help the game run at its best on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The first has already shipped and allows players to enjoy the game at 4K/60 FPS and HDR on the Xbox Series X, and 1080p/60FPS and HDR on Xbox Series S. PS5 players will be able to enjoy 4K resolution (checkerboard) at 60 FPS with HDR.

While the update will improve the graphical quality of the game, it'll also improve loading screen times and split-screen performance, something that fits in nicely with both consoles' lightning-quick SSD.
