It's been another big week for Microsoft Flight Simulator news!
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is now available to pre-order on Steam! With pre-orders for Xbox and Windows Store going live last week, players on all platforms can now prepare themselves for the November 19 launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator 204 and also enjoy the De Havilland Canada CL-415 firefighting aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) today as a special bonus to everyone who pre-orders!
Yesterday, we hosted our September Developer Livestream! During this broadcast, our regular panel of Jorg, Seb, and Martial were pleased to be joined by guest Hans Hartmann to provide more details about an upcoming update to Expert Series 1: ATR 42-600/72-600. The panel also responded to many of the community's most frequently asked questions regarding Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. If you missed the live broadcast, you can watch the VOD on YouTube here:

Topics covered during the livestream include:

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 PC system requirements

World & weather updates

Aircraft & flight model improvements

Information about Career mode

Additional clarification about ownership of MSFS (2020) content in MSFS2024

Announcement of World Update 19: Brazil, Guyana, French Guyana, and Suriname

And more!
Towards the end of the session, Jorg also announced that we will be hosting (almost) weekly Developer Livestreams for the next two months, each focusing on a different subject area and each with different guest panelists. The first such livestream, scheduled for next week on October 2 starting at 9:30am PDT (1630 UTC), will focus on the Software Development Kit (SDK) used by add-on makers for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. You can watch this livestream on our official Twitch channel. If you would like to pre-submit a question to the panel in advance, you can do so by completing the form at this link. Reminder: this upcoming livestream is about SDK-related topics only, not a general Microsoft Flight Simulator Q&A.
