Movement System
- Added a full WASD-based movement system
As many of you pointed out, the old movement system wasn’t adequate for a keyboard-mouse setting, therefore, I added a classic WASD key control option.
This should be enabled by default as soon as you update, but if for some reason isn’t, open the options and cycle the “Movement” settings until you find “WASD (Default)”.
If for whatever reason you preferred the old dragging movement system, it can still be selected through the options.
- Added the possibility to switch between walking and running by holding SHIFT
Many of you pointed out that it can sometimes be tricky to perform precise movements, often resulting in frustrating deaths.
With this update, the character will no longer run by default but instead walk at roughly 70% of the former running speed.
Holding down shift will make him break into a sprint at the same speed as before.
Note: This feature is only available while using the new WASD movement system
- Added the possibility to use the power while moving
Since you now no longer have to use your mouse to move, we unlocked the possibility to use the drawing power while moving.
This allows for new interesting possibilities which you are welcome to investigate.
Note: This feature is only available while using the new WASD movement system
Achievements
The “Quite the Attention Span” achievement is no longer unlockable and has been removed from the Steam accounts of all the people who had obtained it.
Please read our post for explanations.
Miscellaneous
- Improved some behind-the-scenes processes on Trials 2 and 3, which should run smoother.
- Improved movement system rotation precision in all the main trials
- Removed the “first version” banner on the first launch
- Improved all the options menus to no longer fail to display visual fading effects
- It is no longer necessary to agree to our EULA to play LIO, it was just a joke and we removed it
