With relentless effort and the help of a lot of coffee, in the past 30 days I have completed the following: Mid-Autumn Festival: Dragon Boat Festival: Calendar feature. Several new collectibles. New villager gift dialogues. Some convenient new features, such as the ability to move buildings in the shopping district, bulk harvesting of fruit trees, quick recipe selection in the research panel, and unlocking dialogues for villagers’ favorite items, etc. Numerous optimizations and bug fixes. The most important achievement is that I have partially implemented controller support by upgrading the engine and switching to a new input system. I say "partially" because there are still some panels that do not fully support controller input, such as the storage and cooking panels (though they can be interacted with via the virtual mouse). For these panels that do not yet support full input, I will continue to optimize them in the future, and the existing parts will be adjusted based on player feedback. I must say, controller support turned out to be much more complex than I anticipated. Issues like the incompatibility between PS controllers and Xbox controllers (for example, the Xbox controller’s D-pad up/down/left/right buttons are the PS controller's left/right buttons and joystick up/down), along with many interaction mode resets, consumed a lot of time as I learned and adjusted the controller input functions. But I finally achieved a breakthrough from 0 to 1. Honestly, there was a moment when I thought about abandoning controller support. Next, I will shift my focus to developing the seaside area. The seaside will have its own unique supply chain, as well as profit-generating buildings like a seafood restaurant. Buildings will be added to produce currently unavailable products like seafood and sea salt. There will also be fishing and aquarium-related gameplay. The development of the seaside version will take a considerable amount of time, comparable to developing an entirely new game. During the development process, I will continue to optimize game content and further improve the controller input functionality for the panels. Thank you all for your support!
