Welcome, Tamers!
We know you've gotten used to our bi-weekly updates, where we delivered cool new content for the game—whether it was new maps, new Mystlings, or new Tamers. We've always made sure to pleasantly surprise you during each update cycle. However, this time we had to pause the release of new content to improve what already exists. We’ve seen your comments and feedback (especially the critical ones), and we knew we had no choice but to sit down and focus on serious improvements to the game, both in terms of difficulty balance and the user interface. So today, we present a list of changes and fixes that we hope will significantly enhance your experience with Dragon Eclipse and make it even more enjoyable.
Enemy Rebalancing
In this area, we've been working hard and it was our top priority. To fully experience the changes, we recommend starting from Eclipse 0, where the differences should be much more noticeable to you.
UX Improvements
Work is still ongoing here, but we’ve already made many small and large changes, and there are still plenty more on the horizon. So rest assured—we haven’t said our final word yet, and many more changes are on the way.
Combat Phases
We’ve decided to add a clear distinction between different phases of combat. This should clarify and organize the division of combat into its various stages. Let us know in the comments if you like this change!
Action Separation
We’ve increased the gaps between actions performed by different creatures so that it’s clear who is currently acting and which effect is associated with each action. Actions are now arranged in a queue of sequential events, preventing them from blending together.
Target Selection Arrow
We redesigned the look of the arrow that indicates which creature to assign a played card or consumable to. We think it looks much better now, but more importantly, it’s clearer.
Mystling Positioning Change
Moving Mystlings could be somewhat unintuitive, so we’ve revamped the entire system. It is now much more convenient, simpler to use, and definitely faster!
Next Steps:
As we mentioned, we’re not done yet. We’re currently planning to create a new tutorial that will introduce new players to the game’s mechanics even better. We’ll also continue improving the UX with further changes and work on rebalancing the gameplay.
Best regards, and we look forward to more of your valuable feedback on what we can improve or enhance in the game!
