It's been just over a month since we revealed The Great Internationale and since then you have placed well over 200,000 votes on our website. We now have our hands full as we work with fan communities and localisation companies to try to bring you Disco Elysium's 1,000,000 words in new languages. The current translations are going strong thanks to the hard work being put in by each team. We'll have more to share about them all soon as they get closer to being finished. Meanwhile be sure to keep an eye on the website tracker for all of the progress updates.
Russian team update
The Russian translation of Disco Elysium is now being managed by Testronic (who are also doing the German and French translations). The community team provided a strong start for the translation that will be continued with a bigger team. This means we can ensure maximum quality, efficiency, and respect for the Russian language -- which is especially great as Disco Elysium owes so much to Soviet culture and history. Additionally, we are very thankful for the superb work the fan team have done, they won't go unrecognised or unpaid for it. A couple of the team's members will continue working on the translation with Testronic from within the community.
What's next?
All your votes and messages as part of The Great Internationale over email and social media have pointed us in the many directions we're moving in now. Once we are sure that we have everything in place we will make announcements about translations for each new language separately. We will do our utmost to ensure quality and deliver it. A super massive thanks to everyone for showing their love and for voting over the past few weeks, as well as those who bought Disco Elysium and put it on their wishlists. It helps us and the game out immensely. More soon!
