Led by [b]Father[/b], [b]The Sanctum[/b] extols the virtues of pain, guilt, and sacrifice. Together, they dream of summoning [b]Messiah[/b], an extremely powerful Nightmare that will bring them [b]Salvation[/b]. [h2]BORN OF A DREAM [/h2] After much restlessness, [b]Lucah[/b] arrived in Paradiso seeking [b]Purification[/b]. At Father’s congregation, they submitted themself to be cleansed by his hand. Lucah’s inner struggles had manifested into a Nightmare of unparalleled strength, [b]Messiah[/b]. [b]Messiah[/b] laid waste to Father’s Congregation, killing all but one of them. Final absolution through devoted martyrdom; [b]The Sanctum[/b] had finally achieved the [b]Salvation[/b] that they sought. Enraged to be left alive and alone, Christian was overcome with hatred, and [b]swore vengeance on Lucah[/b] for denying him the end he wanted. Lucah survived Messiah’s attack, and continued to travel the Dream alone. Christian gave chase too, and clashed with Lucah multiple times as he tried to hunt them down. In their waking lives, Lucah and Christian [b]loved each other[/b]. However, Christian was unable to accept his feelings for Lucah, a queer nonbinary person. After a final confrontation with the Dreamer, they finally awakened.
