Another year has passed, and our ranks continue to grow, which is something that brings us great joy. For five years now, you've been supporting us, and we strive to return the favor. This game will always hold a special place in our hearts. Death Crown was our first game, one into which we truly poured our souls. We hope you share our sentiments. Although the time of active support for the game is long behind us, we still try to find time each year to bring you some small delights. This year, we've prepared a few small, but hopefully pleasant, updates. 1. We've added a demo version on Steam (thanks to Valve for finally making demos more visible). Unlike the previous demo on itch.io, we've included a boss battle. So, if you have any hesitant relatives, friends, acquaintances, or any other people who are important to you and unsure whether Death Crown is worth their time, make sure to show them our demo. We've also added animated avatars, stickers, and backgrounds featuring your favorite Death Crown characters. You can purchase them in the Steam Point Shop. Taunt your enemies in online games by setting a laughing king as your avatar, showing them just how superior you are. A sequel or a prequel? Will it remain an RTS, or will the game change genres? Will it retain its black-and-white aesthetic, or will we introduce color while keeping the grim atmosphere? Will it stay in pixel art, or will we go 3D? What new features will we add, and which ones will we remove? We have so many ideas, and the urge to return to Death Crown and surprise you with something new and stylish grows stronger. I don't want to raise anyone's hopes too high, but I also don't want you to write us off. Death Crown has never been about commercial success—we never had a meticulously planned marketing campaign or anything of the sort. Everything we did and continue to do comes from the heart. That's why your support is so important. Every mention of the game, review, piece of art, tweet, and, of course, purchase of the game brings the next Death Crown game closer. We would also love to hear your thoughts and wishes regarding the continuation—what would you like to see in the next chapter of Death Crown? Your feedback will help shape the future of this world.
