Meet two new characters: [img]https://clan.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/images//45275905/fb3544e5213f7626387d1fe1280df4e9996383a8.png[/img] Lowe, piloting his ship, the Retro Blast Lowe has travelled from the distant 8080 galaxy to help fight off the Deadly Alien Rogues! He might be old, and his ship made from dated tech, but he can still blast invaders like the best of them! Lowe starts with the Classic Gun and cannot swap to any other weapon! The lineup of items available when playing as Lowe are different to other characters. Some items are more common, some items less common, and others aren't available at all! I hope he gives people a new way to play! [img]https://clan.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/images//45275905/84992349f91f539e3034d485f6531035d21f1a84.png[/img] Ajitama, piloting the Pico-Pico Pod Bringing his musical spaceship, he'll blast the Deadly Alien Rogues with waves of groovy tunes! He might be small, but you shouldn't doubt his talents for a second! Ajitama starts with the Shotgun weapon - though it fires some distinctly different projectiles when he's using it. Offsetting the great starting offensive abilities, he's among the more fragile characters - so be careful! In addition, those two characters, plus the original three, all have access to a brand new mode: Boss Rush! [img]https://clan.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/images//45275905/4a5f9a39f0a4b7e20da394cb0e4d4a38c3e09fb0.png[/img] This is a mode where you do nothing but fight all of the games bosses in a row, with the goal being to clear them all out as fast as possible! Items available in this mode are different to the others - you'll not find any score or combo increasing items, for example! In order to place on the new Boss Rush leaderboard you'll need to defeat all the bosses - if your ship is destroyed during a run, you'll default to the worst score possible! Successful attempts will have their times, measured in frames, added to the new leaderboard. Just know that you're not timed when the game is paused, or you're in menus, so you are free to take your time when choosing items and really consider your character builds. Outside of the new content, there's a few other changes in V1.1.0 -In-game Highscores now show the top 5 players in each mode, making it more useful to those who don't want to manually check the Steam Leaderboards outside of the game. -The Japanese translation has several improvements in places such as the story screens and item descriptions.
