John Carmack once said that a shooter game does not need a deep story. I personally agree that may be true for some First-person shooters. Our game is no different. Common. Let’s face it. We all just want to kick ass and chew bubble gum. However, you also might remember why Duke Nukem 3D was so much different from the predecessors - Even though the story was generally not important the Duke himself was so charismatic and outstanding persona that the whole game wouldn't be as fun as if Duke was not present. Even now in the newer Ion Fury game which is totally awesome, the female protagonist is also very visible. Our currently nameless hero, (We still haven't figured out how to name him) is representing the latter - he’s so much there. You can hear him talking, he has his own attitude. Egomaniac, asshole to most, but has his own set of rules: Rule number one: Always pay on time. If not he will bash your teeth in. Rule number two: You don’t attack innocent people. If you do he will bash your teeth in. Rule number three: If a woman attacks you - you don’t bash her teeth in. Throw some chocolate in her direction. This should do the trick.
