After some drip-feeding on social media, the entire new Warzone 2 map has been revealed. Ashika Island is Warzone 2's first small-scale map, which means the fast-paced, fan-favourite Resurgence mode can now return for Call of Duty fans to enjoy. The small Japanese island certainly carries the essence of Rebirth Island from the original Warzone, but instead sees players battle amongst beaches, farms, castles, and underground rivers.

With the Warzone 2 Ashika Island release date coinciding with the launch of the delayed Season 2, fans will finally be able to drop into a small-scale battlefield for the first time since the battle royale launched in November 2022. Those who enjoyed the maps of Rebirth Island and Fortune's Keep in the original Warzone, and the modes that came with them, haven't even been able to dip back into them, as both maps were removed from the previous title to leave just the large battlefield of Caldera.
