Since the last demo update, I was fortunate enough to see someone on Twitch play the game. Here are a few things I learned from that playthrough. The good: - Whilst playing through events would occur and I could hear the player say "Oh I bet it was Veronica", or "I think you've done a good job, here's some more money" and other lines that are exactly what the goal is for this game. I want players to have their own stories from each playthrough. The not so good: - I can still see text spilling over, unfortunately I could not determine what resolution she was playing the game on. But what I've done is added more padding and adjusted some of the text strings to fit better. Also resized one of the containers to account for spillage. - I realized she didn't know how to move time forward after the tutorial ended. It didn't move time forward automatically to get the game started. Since this game is
turn based
you have to click the play button to move time forward (or perform an action). So I automatically started the game after the tutorial. - Lastly I've added scrolling text for the tutorial so its not as jarring seeing a wall of text explaining the game.
