Thank you to everyone that tried out our Bellwright demo during Next Fest! It was an exciting week for our team, especially seeing just how many of you decided to try our demo. We were blown away to learn that Bellwright ended up being the 4th on the list of Daily Active Demo Players on the Fest (shoutout to Warhaven, Lies of P, and Norland!), and we can’t wait for you to see more! We’re still going through all of your feedback and encourage anyone who has more to say to please leave it for us to read on the forums! We’d love to hear what else you’d like to see in the game, what you particularly did or did not enjoy, and any kind of suggestions you might have. Getting to watch your streams and videos was very special to us, as it's our first time seeing anyone outside the dev team walk through Karvenia, and we especially appreciate everyone that took the time to share their thoughts on the game while playing. Special shoutout to tkm_Ferdnand for spending almost 3 in-game months in the Lowlands, while building the absolute biggest camp we’ve ever seen and ending up with such a massive army that poor brigands were squirming when it marched. There’s quite a bit of work ahead of us, and plenty of things to add, improve, and fix. Truth be told, we hadn’t initially planned on making a demo before the release, so the version of the game you’ve played was more of a spontaneous beta test than an extremely polished slice of the full game. It goes without saying that you should expect huge improvements in every aspect of the game by the time Bellwright is out, including general stability, variety of localization options, professional voice over, intuitive UI, and improved performance to name a few things you've mentioned. There’s also a massive amount of content you haven’t seen yet that we’re working on for release: full-fledged warfare and rebellion, allowing you to march your armies against the oppressive kingdom, liberating villages and protecting your territories by building fortified town defenses or even whole fortresses, new massive regions with their own unique looks and feel, full of exciting places to explore and fight over, town progression going all the way from a small camp to a prosperous medieval city, and much more. Not to mention all the ideas we’ve collected so far from your feedback that we’ve already discussed and planned out. It’s been wonderful to see so many of you enjoy the game, even in such an early state that it’s in. We can’t wait to share more about our plans with you, so if you'd like to stay up to date with the news about Bellwright, make sure to wishlist and keep an eye on the Steam announcements for what’s coming next!
