We’ve begun working on a larger map - about 10 times bigger than the existing ones. As a result, the number of spawn locations on the map grew uncontrollably, reaching over 200. To address this, we removed fixed spawn points and switched to a system of random spawn locations that are generated procedurally. This led to some amusing situations, like robots getting stuck in concrete, unable to run, but still desperately trying to catch the player’s legs! While we haven’t finished the large map yet, we’ve created a new version where robots, ammo, and med packs spawn in random locations, making the gameplay even more chaotic and fast-paced. We aim to complete the large map soon, hopefully by version 0.2.5. For now, we’re excited to offer free Playtest 2, where the only change from the current version (v0.2.3) is the addition of the new random spawning system.
